We love the summer and we love the fruits that come in the end of spring and beginning of the summer like: strawberries and cherries. I especially love cherries and I could eat non stop cherries.
And because the markets around are now overwhelmed with strawberries we changed our morning breakfast to strawberry and other fruits breakfast and mostly smoothies from strawberries and other fruits we have at home.
Our garden strawberries are not yet ripe, in about 1 week I think we will eat strawberries from our own garden. Looking forward to that!
The smoothie from today’s post is a simple one, all natural and no sugar for a healthy start of the day.
The ingredients we used for this smoothie recipe:
– some cherries
– 2 ripe bananas
– 1 apple
– 1 orange
You can use any other fruit combination you like, we just used fruits we have at home at this time.
The bananas are a good base ingredient for any smoothie, they are a bit sticky and have a great consistence for the future smoothie, we recommend using at least one banana for any smoothie. You can use the ripe or overripe bananas if you have at home.
The preparation of the smoothie is quite simple: just remove the little tails from the strawberries, remove the pit from the cherries, add them into the blender together with the banana’s and with the peeled off apple and orange. Blend everything together for about 2-3 minutes and you have a delicious and healthy breakfast or dessert.
